Building a Trustworthy AI Asset Management Platform

To realize our vision of becoming the “Goldman Sachs of the AI era” and provide users with a secure, transparent, efficient wealth growth engine, Catrix has built a highly scalable hybrid architecture inspired by top perpetual contract DEXs like Hyperliquid and Aster. This architecture perfectly combines on-chain asset security with off-chain computational performance.

6.1 Hybrid Architecture: Merging On-Chain Trust with Off-Chain Performance

Catrix’s core architecture follows modern high-performance DEX practices with an off-chain order book, on-chain settlement hybrid model. This design balances performance with decentralization’s core advantages:

Off-Chain Order Book: User orders, matching, and cancellations happen on Catrix’s high-performance off-chain server clusters. This gives users near-CEX low latency and zero gas fee trading, avoiding public chain congestion and high costs.

On-Chain Settlement & Custody: All critical operations involving asset transfers - deposits, transfers, trade settlements, and withdrawals - execute on transparent, unchangeable blockchain smart contracts. User funds are always locked and managed by smart contracts. The Catrix platform cannot unilaterally access user assets, ensuring our core “non-custodial” security promise.

6.2 Architecture Evolution Path: From Aggregator to Dedicated App-Chain

Catrix’s technical architecture isn’t static. We’ve planned a clear, phased evolution path to gradually achieve full decentralization and higher performance.

Phase 1: DEX Aggregator with Smart Routing (Current Stage)

Currently, Catrix serves as a smart aggregation layer for multiple top DEXs (Hyperliquid, Aster, Lighter). Our system provides a unified trading entry and uses Smart Order Routing (SOR) algorithms to automatically find the best trading prices and lowest slippage across multiple DEXs, ensuring users always get optimal execution.

Secure Verifiability & Low Cost: Lighter’s ZK proofs provide mathematical security guarantees for every trade. Rollup batch processing significantly reduces gas costs, making high-frequency, small-amount AI strategies economically viable

Phase 1 Advantages

Through smart aggregation, Catrix provides users with a trading experience far superior to any single DEX in Phase 1 - maximizing liquidity, minimizing trading costs, and optimizing execution efficiency.

Phase 2: Self-Developed Matching Engine & Layer 2 Deployment

As users and trading volume grow, we’ll deploy our self-developed high-performance matching engine. This will initially deploy on mainstream Layer 2 scaling solutions like Arbitrum and Optimism, using their low gas fees and high throughput to further reduce trading costs and support more complex AI trading strategies.

Phase 3: Catrix Chain - Dedicated App-Chain

Catrix’s ultimate form is building a dedicated App-Chain designed specifically for AI asset management and derivatives trading. This chain will be built on Cosmos SDK or as an Ethereum Validium/Volition, achieving the final architectural closed loop.

  • Sovereign Interoperability: As an independent chain, Catrix Chain can be deeply customized and optimized for business needs while maintaining interoperability with other public chains through IBC or cross-chain bridges.

  • On-Chain AI & Native Oracles: AI trading model core logic and risk management modules will be embedded as native functions in the chain’s foundation, enabling more efficient and secure on-chain AI strategy execution.

  • Achievable Performance Targets: Through dedicated chain design, we target ≤ 2 second transaction finality and ≥ 10,000 TPS peak throughput, providing solid infrastructure for massive users and high-frequency AI strategies.
